Andy Bridge has been working as an illustrator for 20 years and is best known for his illustration on the booker prize winning novel A Life of Pi. He paints animals from photographs, as well as dogs and cats, he also paints horses, birds and rabbits. He paints onto wood using a mixture of stencils and brushwork. Painting with household emulsion, he uses bright, flat colour for the backgrounds to his paintings. The painting takes around two weeks to complete, but can take longer for larger works or during busy periods. The background colour and size of the portrait is agreed once the photographs have been received. These paintings do not need framing. Prices from £160 for 20x20cm up to £520 for 60x60cm.
